Ieri, 3 octombrie, am participat la Muzeul de Artă Cluj la vernisajul expoziţiilor “George Banu
Nopţile muzeului” şi expoziţia de fotografie semnată de Silviu Purcărete, “Nopţile oraşului”. Vă recomand să treceţi pe la muzeu luna aceasta pentru a vedea o selecţie din lucrările aflate în patrimoniul Muzeului şi selecţionate de către George Banu. Tot ce au în comun aceste lucrări este tema nopţii, interpretată şi reinterpretată de diferiţi artişti, lucrând în perioade diferite cu tehnici diferite.
Thursday, October 3rd, I attended the opening of two exhibitions at the Cluj-Napoca National Art Museum: “George Banu – the nights of the museum” and the photo exhibition “The nights of the city” by famous Romanian theatre director, Silviu Purcărete. I highly recommend you to go by the museum this month for the unique oportunity to see a selection of works selected by George Banu from the Museum’s patrimony which all have in common the theme of the night. The works cover a wide range of periods and artistic styles, from paintings to lithographs.
Şi dacă tot a fost aleasă noaptea ca temă pentru cele două expoziţii, m-am gândit să vă invit să vă alăturaţi paşilor nopţii Müncheneze. Oraşul capitală al Bavariei este la fel de viu noaptea, după cum e şi ziua.
And since the night was chosen as a theme for the two exhibitions at the Art Museum, I thought I’d invite you to join steps with the Munich nights. The capital city of Bavaria in Germany is as alive by night as it is by day.
Începi călătoria în punctul zero al centrului Münchenului, Marienplatz.

Vitrinele magazinelor, galeriile comerciale subterane de la Stachus sunt pline de viaţă la orice oră, lucru accentuat poate şi de tavanul ingenios, în care se reflectă tot ce se află în jur.

Te întorci pe Kaufingerstrasse înspre Odeonsplatz. Strada aceasta îţi oferă câteva momente în care simţi cu adevărat freamătul oraşului. Simţi inima Münchenului cum bate neîncetat?

You take the Kaufingerstrasse back to Odeonsplatz. This street offers you some distinct moments, which give you the oportunity to really feel the pulse of the city. Do you feel Munich’s heart beating?
Galeria comercială “Fünf Höfe” este tot timpul plină de trecători – unii dintre ei sunt turişti, alţii localnici grăbiţi în drum spre casă.
Aici zăboveşti mai mult. Te simţi ca într-o poveste care ai vrea să nu se mai termine.
The commercial gallery “Fünf Höfe” is always filled with passers-by – some of them tourists, others are just locals in a hurry on their way home.
You spend some more time here. You feel you’re in a fairy tale you don’t want to end.
Cele câteva minute petrecute aici îşi dau senzaţia că timpul stă în loc – e aşa de linişte. Doar un grup de tineri perturbă serenitatea cu râsetele lor, care răsună cu ecou.The few minutes you spend here give you the sensations of a time still – it’s so quiet. A group of young people disrupts the serenity with their echoing giggles.
Când te hotărăşti să ţii piept străzii din nou, întâlneşti un cuplu mai în vârstă, plimbăreţi prin noaptea frumoasă.
Te gândeşti ce frumos ar fi să se întâmple asta şi la noi, să iasă bătrânii la plimbare şi ţi-i imaginezi pe bunicii tăi la plimbare în München. Cum ar reacţiona oare la întâlnirea cu acest oraş minunat?
When you are ready to face the street again, you meet an older couple, walkers through the beautiful night.
You thing how nice it would be for older people back home to go out for walks like this and you picture your grandparents walking through Munich. How would they react if they met this wonderful city?
Ajungi în Odeonsplatz unde are loc mini-festivalul de muzică clasică Klassik am Odeonsplatz. Acordurile te poartă în altă lume în timp ce Theatinerkirche veghează liniştiă asupra mulţimii.
You reach Odeonsplatz, where the mini classical music fest Klassik am Odeonsplatz is currently taking place. The chords carry you away, in a distant world, while the Theatinerkirche quietly watches over the crowd.
După atâta reverie e timpul să te înviorezi puţin, aşa că iei metroul U3 până la Olympiazentrum.
After so much revelry, it’s time to cheer up, so you take the U3 underground traing to Olympiazentrum.
La ieşirea din metrou te întâmpină BMW Welt, una dintre cele mai frumoase clădiri moderne din München. Imaginea sa ţi se dezvăluie încet pe măsură ce urci pe scările rulante.
Here, as you exit the underground station, the BMW Welt, one of the most beautiful modern buildings in Munich, welcomes you. The pictures revels to you slowly, as you take the escalator to the surface.
Deja simţi agitaţia şi freamătul din parc şi abia aştepţi să ajungi, aşa că păşeşti repede pe scările rulante.
You can already feel the bustle and the excitment out there, so you quickly go up the escalator.
Te grăbeşti să te întâlneşti cu prietenii, aşa că laşi în urmă BMW Welt şi te îndrepţi spre Olympiapark, acolo unde se desfăşoară un festival în aer liber.
Sunt multe atracţii în parc şi îţi e greu să te decizi. Alegi Mondlift-ul.
Adrenalina şi-a făcut efectul. Totul este parcă mai animat şi mai colorat.
You hurry up to meet your friends, so you leave the BMW Welt behind and you head toward the Olympiapark, where the summer fest is currently in progress.
There are many attractions in the park, making your decision even harder. You finally pick the Moonlift.
The adrenaline rush is still kicking in. Everything seems more vivid and more colorful.
Decizi să faci un ultim popas în această noapte frumoasă şi urci în Olympiaturm de unde ai o panoramă frumoasă asupra oraşului. Este cel mai înalt punct de belvedere asupra Münchenului şi încerci să identifici toate locurile pe care le-ai văzut în seara aceasta. Observi apoi satul olimpic.

You decide to make a last stop in this beautiful night and you go up the Olympiaturm, which offers a beautiful panoramic view of the city. Being the tallest panoramic point of the city, you try to identify all the places and landmarks you’ve seen tonight. Your gaze then reaches the olympic village.

Noaptea se încheie în faimosul Olympiadorf, fostul sat olimpic transformat în cămine studenţeşti. Închizi uşa bungalowului, urci cele câteva trepte până la etaj şi te arunci în pat, cu mintea şi inima pline de amintiri şi emoţii.
Aşa-i că încă simţi pulsul oraşului?
Your night ends in the famous Olydorf, the former olympic village, now home to hundreds of students. You shut the door of your bungalow, go up the few stairs and fall on your bed, with your mind and heart filled with memories and emotions.
Don’t you still feel the pulse of the city?
Gândul tău zboară departe şi adormi pe nesimţite.
